Deprecated errors after moving site to GoDaddy

    I have VB 3.8.4
Server is running PHP version is 5.3.6

Do I need to upgrade my VB version to fix these errors? Downgrading PHP is probably not an option.

    Thanks much,

    Patrick

Probably that is the only option to be able to use vB 3.8.4

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

Upgrade to vb 4.2 or 3.8.7
You can find the fixes on this forum. The first thing to do is find all instances of 'TYPE =' and replace by 'ENGINE ='
There are some more fixes. Search my posts or Paulm his posts for 'engine'
If mysql is also updated to 5.5, then find the fixes for dbalterclass

Likely godaddy will upgrade their servers to php 5.4 in the near future, as php 5.3 goes EOL next month.

Personally, I would say...do not use GoDaddy hosting for vBulletin. It is notoriously problematic, whatever you do.

There are literally millions of hosting companies out there, the vast majority of them better than GoDaddy.

I'll go ahead and upgrade my license. It looks like I have to buy the ver 5 upgrade to get my download rights back.

I've already bought into the GoDaddy site for two years. I'll see how it goes and move if I need to.
