Ok now the forum is on, I can see this additional error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function print_portal_output() in /home/indiansd/public_html/scarletbuckeye/index.php on line 46

print_portal_output() is related to vBAdvanced. Therefore, the main problem lies with them. I'm afraid I will have to direct you to vBAdvanced to sort this out, as the errors are clearly related to that.

Your main forum though is working ok, so you can probably turn everything back on, it's just that the vBAdvanced portal isn't working.

On index.php I have vbadvanced set up.... it's a portal thing...

Index.php is the landing spot then you click thru to forums.php for the forum.

You aren't seeing the portal because it is disabled

It's weird (and I don't think the issue is vbadvanced -- remember my server just upgraded to PHP 5.3.19) because I also get the above error message in the picture i provided when I navigate some areas of the admin panel and when I click thanks on a thread... so it simply cant be vbadvanced related

vBAdvanced is the cause of the problem...something is misconfigured there.
You'll need to speak to them I'm afraid, we can't support third party modifications.

As far as I can tell, the rest of the forum is running fine and error free, it's just an issue with your portal.

What I will say, is that vBAdvanced usually runs off forum/cmps_index.php, not root/index.php, though I know you can reconfigure it to do so. I think that reconfiguration is where the problem may lie.

I am not the only one with this problem... https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...th-a-3-8-forum

            - - - Updated - - -

Everything on my site was working perfectly before the PHP upgrade... I am frustrated and don't know what to do...

I just can't accept the fact that it's a vbadvanced problem because it is ALSO happening when I navigate parts of the admin panel as well as using the thanks mod.

            - - - Updated - - -

I also don't understand how upgrading the PHP would effect modifications

            - - - Updated - - -

I renabled all plug-ins by removing the code in the config file if you want to take a look.

vbadvanced is showing fine but i still get that error message at the top.... I really don't think it's related to that product.

If the modifications use functions that don't work in that version of php, then yes it can.

Your errors are only occurring on vBAdvanced pages and one of them actually references a vBAdvanced function.

We really cannot assist with modifications - that's not us being difficult, it's because we did not write the code.

Where in the admin panel do you receive the errors?

Incidentally, your exact error is described several times on the vBAdvanced site.

Please be aware that we don't support modifications and cannot be held responsible for anything connected with them, but you might like to try the fix posted here:

I will check that out... 1 quick question... would it be a terrible idea if I turned off error reporting for my site?

If I did that, would that option also not notify me if I got a database error.... like the common cannot connect to mysql notice?

You should not really run a production site with error reporting ON....
If you turn it off, database errors will still show and those that get emailed to you will still be emailed to you. Database errors are a completely different thing.

That said you should try to fix the problem really.
