You need to either have PHP downgraded or move to 3.8.7
    Vote for:

    - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

Not easily, PHP 5.2 should be fine.

You should upgrade to 3.8.7, anyway.

It's the only vBulletin 3 version that receives security patches, so it's the securest.

Vbulletin do not allow me to upgrade to higher version .
while being a long term customer rof Vbulletin , having both vb3 and vb4

There do not allow older user to upgrade their VB3.84 once is expiry >
i think is time VB think of giving back to their support the older version since is already going VB5 which is making me consider to buy it anot cos there want money but there sure do not want to help those long time supporting customer with VB3 . even when the file is already so old . and create value for a second market which allow user to sell the older version and buy new upgrade .

              this my personal view

You can upgrade but you need to upgrade your license
