vBulletin XML Style

Does anyone know of an XML style/skin for vBulletin? I would like to write a client similar to Tapatalk or ForumRunner. I know that both use a plugin to serve the client XML but this seems like a bad idea to me, as it opens up a how new world of possible exploits and vulnerabilities. I think a cleaner solution would be to just have a skin that serves XML.

Is there one around? Perhaps even for 4.x and/or 5.x?

I believe if you purchase the VB Mobile Suite for VB 3.x there is some sort of XML style that comes with it- but it isn't something you can redistribute.

That's a silly policy IMO. Having third parties develop independent protocols/methodologies makes vBulletin vulnerable (like I suppose any plugin does). Having an XML-style eliminates a lot of that.

Looks like I'll have to make my own.
