    Moved to correct support forum.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. You can delete custom usergroups within the AdminCP. The default usergroups should be left in place though.

The number of the new usergroup will always be one higher than the one before, whether deleted or not. There is no supported means to reset that number to a lower value- it would be a bad idea to try it.

We couldn't support renumbering usergroups. A lot of stuff with usergroups is hard coded, you'll mess up your forum if you try it.

The usergroupid's are not exposed anywhere in the user interface, only in URLs.

Why do you want to mess about with the database?

We don't support using Impex in this way. Also if you did that you'd lose all your URLs, they would be changed.

What actual problems are you having with your current database?
                      What actually doesn't work?

ID numbers do not have any effect on the operation of the forum.

Manually changing them, almost certainly will, and you'll end up breaking your site.

Leave them as they are - that is the official support stance. Once you mess up things like this it's almost impossible to recover.

VB to VB imports are possible with Impex but not a supported way of doing things. If you want to try on your own make a backup and then read this thread - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...ual-file-fixes

It has info on changes to make to Impex before you start and a link to the Impex manual.
