Hi!
I have a small forum:

With average 30-50 members and 150-200 guest on at any given time.
Load jumps out of control at times. One minute it's running fine and the next load is 100+ with the server nearly crashing.
We switched to litespeed which helped a lot but then we had cron issues (cron wouldn't run).
We switched back to Apache (cgi-fcgi) and it seems any little increase in traffic or bot activity and the server has a panic attack.
And yes, it is a dedicated server.
PHP 5.3.3
PHP Memory Limit 128.00 MB
MySQL Version 5.1.73
MySQL Packet Size 64.00 MB
I have a server admin who helps with the server. Personally I know very little about system administration.
It's stressing me out. Are there services I can go to that I can pay to either optimize things or suggest some fixes to make the server more stable?
Any suggestions for what I can do?
Thanks much for any feedback.
