    Cant create new forum --

    Running 3.8.7 Patch Level 2

Strange problem -- Cant create a new forum. Forum will show up in the database via phpmyadmin, but does not show up in permissions, forum manager or in the forum itself..

Also.... If I delete a forum, the reverse happens. It will remain in the permissions, forum manager, etc but it does delete from the forum itself.

I turned off the plugin system and that made no difference....

I'll check this myself, as I've updated to patch level 3 today on my vBulletin 3.8 install... will report back in a second my finding.

Works fine for me. Created new forum and it shows on forumhome and in forum listings in Admin CP. Only difference for me is that I use no plug-ins and I've also edited the "md5_sums_vbulletin.php" file in includes folder adding new hash codes for all patch files so diagnostic "File Checking" still passes them all 100%

Just thinking, you said Patch Level 2, it's patch level 3. I installed Patch Level 3 files today, not 2
