If your forum is nofollow then his link is not going to benefit from your forum rating. Hence he is asking you to remove nofollow

You can change the settings in Options and then BBcode settings

Tell him you do not use nofollow, atleast not in that original bit of HTML-code you're posting.
However, vBulletin might add rel="nofollow" to the links and he does not want that.
Can you believe this? The developers overlooked one of the most important features of a forum!

Sorry what version of VB are you using. I was assuming it's version 4.

If it's 3 then I dont think it has got that setting.

If it's default installation, I think it should be dofollow. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

                    Both these links Gamer<a href="http://abcs.com/xyz">hold</a> gamer <a
href="http://www.abc.com/">mnno</a> team gaming are dofollow that is to say that the search robots will pass link juice from your site to absc.com if you wish to make them nofollow the add the nofollow attribute. Gamer<a href="http://abcs.com/xyz"rel=nofollow">hold</a> gamer <a
href="http://www.abc.com/"rel=nofollow>mnno</a> team gaming the bots will now ignore the links but your members can still click on them.
