My logo is showing square on Facebook

    Hi,

When I post something to Facebook that contains a link to my forum, the logo is squared to only a section of the logo, please see the attachment. Is it possible to display the full logo or even make a square image to be displayed for Facebook but not have to change my forum logo.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paddy :-)

Thank you Riasat. Do you know how to implement this into vBulletin?

      Thanks in advance,

      Paddy :-)

This would require customization which is something you may ask for help with over on vbulletin.org, the modification site.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Lynne is correct- this is a topic for vBulletin.org- but- I literally have this in my clipboard from something I was working on earlier.

Just put this code in your headinclude template- obviously change the URL to a URL of your own custom, square, Facebook image, at least 200x200 pixels in size.

          Code:
          <meta property="og:image" content="http://example.com/radio/images/misc/flag-photo.jpg" />
If you have any questions ask on vbulletin.org.

When you test it you need to test on a new, never before shared page. Old pages already shared were already cached by facebook.

            Hi Joe,

Thank you very much. This worked a treat!

I just installed a new vB4.2.2 yesterday and with your help I was successful in making a square og image to be displayed on Facebook :-)

            Regards,

            Paddy
