I've moved hosts now i have an APC error...

Previous host had the APC php extension... which i was using, now when i moved from semi-dedicated to shared there's no APC and thus "Fatal error: APC not installed in [path]/includes/class_datastore.php on line 386"
I've uncommented out the extension in a few php.ini I've found but it's still there, does it take time? am i doing the right thing? please advise, thanks

It's ok... via config.php

$config['Datastore']['class'] = 'vB_Datastore_Filecache';

worked for me, thanks
