Can i rename the 'register.php' file without any problem?

Hi... i ask because of the spam problem... i wondered if i could rename that file and simple link to it? i think a majority of spam-bots automatically target that file, would be nice to take them off the scent, please advise, cheers

You'll need to go through every file and make sure that you catch all instances that may reference it plus all templates. Then, if you have any issues and require our support, you'll need to revert everything back to the default as we don't provide support for modified code or sites running modified code.

You would be better looking at things like Question and Answer verification on registration, account moderation before posting and some of the anti-spam tools available at www.vbulletin.org
