Just that. I have hundreds of attachment files (*.thumb and *.attach) that are reporting they were modified two nights ago. Is there anything within vBulletin that would cause this? My first thought was someone uploading tons and tons of attachments, but I searched for attachments created during that time frame in the admincp and none were found. I'm really stumped here. The only reason I noticed it was I saw those files fly by in the rysnc logs.
Dumb question: What would update the modified date of hundreds of attachment files?

Please read the Forum Rules and don't bump your threads within 24 hours (and especially within 20 minutes).
If you rebuilt attachment thumbnails then that would change the thumbnail images. But I can't think of what would change the actual .attach files all at once.
Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

That wasn't a bump. It was an edit. I thought I figured it out but was wrong. I think I messed up when updating my dev site to vB4. Forgot to change the path of the attachments when I copied the site. No biggy. I just moved the attachments to the db, deleted the files from the attachment folder, then moved them back to the filesystem. Worked like a champ.Comment

I kinda wondered after I posted that about bumping if it was just an edit. Sorry about that!
Glad you figured out the problem.

by Jeanius!I've upgraded a site from 3.8.9 to 4.2.3 and then from 4.2.3 to 5.2.2
However, I've just noticed that some, not all, attachments are missing.
I've just read about the attachment deletion error...-
