Optimizing "word" table takes ages, how to stop it?

trying to optimize/repair word table (3omb/30mb) via maintance in AdminCP, it takes 2 hpours now, how can I stop this process? and it is dangerous to interrupt? closing window doesnt help.

You should speak to your host for database related queries as, although that's a vBulletin table, repairing/optimising is a hosting issue

Just to add to the sensible advice by Trevor, it's probably crashed, it will have left behind a TMD file which is corrupt, your host will have to delete that file (no you wont see it in your files!) before you can repair or optimise it properly, interrupting any process you have started manually can cause unexpected if not disasterous results.
