Join board and skip questions

We have had several members join, and somehow they have managed to skip the basic questions, such as how did you hear about us, where are you from etc. When you go into their profile, they are missing the usual tab that says "about me". I can't duplicate this, so I'm hoping someone can shed some light on it. The 2 pictures attached show a normal example and then the one with the missing tab. Thanks!

What usergroup are these members in?

"Registered" is their only choice, and thats what both of them are.

You just nailed the answer. I never tried to join from Tap a Talk, just tried it, and it gives me just the issue I see. Thanks!!!
