About vBulletin 3.8.5 License

Don't know if this is the correct forum for this question but if is not.. I apologize.

I have a friend that is going to give me his vbulletin 3.8.5 license because he is not using it. Where or how can I change the license to my name?. When I enter the members section I don't have an option to change it under my name and my email.

I see that I can also download vbulletin 4.0.2 Level 9. If I can transfer the license under my name... How much would it be to upgrade to the latest version with the publishing suite added to it?

To have it changed into your name, the original owner needs to contact us and request a transfer.

The cost to upgrade from vBulletin 3.8.5 to vBulletin 4.1.8 with the Publishing Suite is $250.00.
