Threads missing and disappearing

I have been noting some strange problems on the forum.
We have a dump forum. Its accessible only to Admins.

Now, when we move a thread to the dump forum the immediate answer we get is :

Invalid thread specified, contact Administrator

when we try to search for the post it says - No such posts/threads exist.

By mistake we moved a few threads some time back and its now turning nightmare to search the dump forum as they are not showing up properly rather getting searched properly in there.

We have few instances where the user has say around 20 posts, but only 5 posts of the user are visible all the rest remain a mystery.

Anyway to fix this issue ? So far, the problem has been down to only 1 forum. Seriously don't want this to get onto the other forums.

Try rebuilding the thread and forum counters in that order:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Update Counters
