What settings do I need to change?

If my forum is located in a separate directory:

domain.com/forums

And I want to move it to the main index such that:

domain.com


What settings do I need to change? I understand I need to move all the files from the "forums" directory to the main directory. But are there any settings I need to be concerned about?

You also need to set the correct forum URL here:

Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details -> Forum URL

And in the Members Area under 'License Options':
