Restore one specific forum from backup

Hi,

Is there a way to import one specific category (threads+posts) from a backup (/other database)?
Forum is running 3.7.7 though..

There is no such provision for doing that in vBulletin.

I know it can't be done within vB, but my guess would be that with a few queries it might be possible to fetch & reinsert them.

It could be done using a custom script. Also consider there might be attachments that may no longer be available.

There weren't any attachments. Just wondering if anyone ever did it and still knows how..
