    forum permission

I have a new supermod who I want to give access to a particular forum, I have ensured the forum permissions include that group and even checked custom permissions as well as tried to customize it, but I don't get any response. This person is the only user in that group and I don't know what else to look at, any suggestions? Thanks

Is he in multiple usergroups? Does his primary usergroup allow him to have secondary/additional usergroups?
