    $spacer_close - redundant?

    I recently upgraded from 3.8.1 to 3.8.6. I noticed some of my templates were a bit out of date so I reverted the postbit one. Since I had customised this template, I added back in my customisations. However, I noticed that the 3.8.6 postbit template doesn't make use of $spacer_close.

    Is $spacer_close essentially old code that has no place in 3.8.6?

    An example of use of this code that I added back in is here:

    Code:
    <if condition="$show['spacer']">
        </div>
        $spacer_close
    </if>
    <!-- / post #$post[postid] -->
    I wanted to make sure my customisations are as they were before and since my old code had it, it goes back in!

    Is $spacer_close replaced by something else now?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    if you search in templates via:

    AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Search In Templates

    you'll see that $spacer_close is still called within several templates.
