User profile bug- going to similar username's profile

i have noticed a bug in my forum running 3.8.4 PL1 recently.. clicking on somebody's username from anywhere in the forum , take you to profile of similar useraname, if there are similar ones. eg: test, test1987, TeST. but if there is no similar username , everything ok.. i donno what caused it/ how long its been there. i noticed only when somebody notified me...is it a known bug before. how to fix this???

vB 3.8 normally doesn't contain usernames in the link to the profile.
Do you use vbseo? If yes, ask in there support forum
