    How to Disable Moderation

    Hi

I have a working copy of VB Ver 4.0.2 Patch Level 4. I has configured my VB forum to moderate each post and thread and it was working working fine

Now due to the high volume of user porting i would like to disable moderation.

For doing so i disable it from the forum manager option but it still asks to validate the post and threads

Can you please help me in this

    Thank You

Are you sure you didn't change the usergroup permissions?

AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Edit each usergroup and check their moderation settings.

AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Usergroup you want to edit

Edit each usergroup and check their moderation settings.

Look for the following in Blog Entry, Blog Comment, Groups, Visitor Messages, and Post/Thread <---(this is for the forum posting) Permissions

        Follow Forum Moderation Rules
If no, posts are always placed into moderation queue

if NO is selected then every post is automatially put into the moderation queue. if YES they users can post normally

also check AdminCP > Options > General Settings

        Enable Inline Moderation Authentication
Inline moderation actions will require a user to authenticate again prior to being performed. The timeout is based on the admin control panel timeout, or one hour if that option is disabled.

i had to set it to NO so my members could post without moderation though all the forum, usergroup, and individual users had posting permissions.
my issue was registered could post, custom usergroup could not if this setting was YES and their primary usergroup was the custom usergroup.

        NOTE:
vBulletin staff do not know why I had the above issue.

FWIW you never opened a support ticket to let us loook at your setup.
