    Problems logging user into forum

Im having issues where I would log in as a regular user on the forum, but it doesnt log in correctly.

It logs in but it shows on the top right as no one logged in, but when you click on a forum it shows that your logged in...

    the forum is at http://domainertalk.com/

    Any suggestions whats wrong?

This is probably a cookie domain/path issue. To fix this, upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Use this to reset the cookie domain and path back to the defaults. And then leave your cookie domain and path at the default settings. There is no reason to change these. If you need to specify a unique cookie, use the cookie prefix setting in config.php instead.

Used the tools.php and resetted the path, still having the same problem.

This just recently happened to my VB.

That either you are blocking cookies, or one of your add-ons is causing this problem.

Are you checking the 'Remember me' box when you log in?

I think i found out the problem,

when its logging in it redirects to domainertalk.com

but if you go to www.domainertalk.com it shows that your logged in.

Is there any way to make it redirect to www.?

As far as cookies are concerned www.domainertalk.com and domainertalk.com are two separate domains. I recommend sticking to one or the other.

You can also try setting the cookies domain in the Admin CP to:

            .domainertalk.com

            Note the leading period.

Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Option -> Cookie Domain

Not sure but i was installing a mod, and it fixed the redirection now its redirecting correctly and logging in the right way.

              thanks guys!
