    Cleaning Up After Deleted Profiles

When a member profile gets banned and/or deleted, is there a way to delete all of the visitor messages they left behind on other member profiles?

    Thank you.

If a user is banned, you can access their profile in AdminCP then select the 'Delete Visitor Messages Sent By User' option from the dropdown at the top of the page.

If you want to delete visitor messages left by a user, you will need to delete them from the 'visitormessage' table where the postuserid value is the userid of the deleted user (this may be '0').

What is the difference between "Sent by User" and "Left by User"?

Also, I notice it has an option to "Delete All Private Messages Sent by User", does that mean deleting their sent box or will it actually delete all of the private messages they sent to other users, that are still sitting in the recipient's inbox?

      Thank you.

No difference, just a difference in terminology...

If you delete them from the sent box, they still need to have been deleted by the recipient before they will disappear from the database.
