Out of the blue I'm my forum users are getting following error whenever they tried to download an attachment

Getting the following error when trying to upload:

Could not create file system directory to hold your attachment.

I have made no changes to the database or had changed any setting.

Please urgently assist.

your forum configured to store attachments in file system as files, not database
you probably reached limit of total file size or maximum number of files
