4+ Million Post For A User!

I just installed a 3.8.X board the other day, a user posted a few items and now in his profile it shows that he has over 4 million posts!? How in the world did that happen?

Make sure you have the latest security patch if you are running 3.8.6. Someone who exploited this on my forum gave themself Admin power and a huge post count along with it.

Yes I just downloaded the software a few days ago so I imagine that the path was part of the download package.

I believe I read somewhere that negative post count shows up as a huge positive number. It could be his post count got set to below zero for some reason.

Not sure...it showed six and then all of a sudden it was actually over 4 billion (I was incorrect before)

I rebuilt the thread counts and it went back to being correct, but it was really odd!

Saw this kinda happen on another site but it had to do with the polls. Only 2000 members, however, one item in the poll had a billion votes, lol.

After upgrade to 3.8.7 now there is the second user with crazy post count (4,294,967,294). Maybe a bug? Any help would be nice.

Updating counters should fix this

Sure, that's what I've made but this error occurs 2 times after 3.8.7 upgrade, before never had this issue.

I have had this issue several times on vb3.8.6
