Inaccurate Timezone at bottom of forum page

In my Admin CP > vBulletin Options > Date and Time Options... I have it set to "GMT -5 Eastern Time Zone".

I assume this meant that my forum's default timezone would now be set to the above, unless a user logs in and their profile is set to another timezone.

However, for unregistered/guest visitors, the bottom of my forum is showing this:
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 01:13 AM.

Note that it is showing "GMT -4" and not "GMT -5" (so it is not matching my Admin CP selection).

Is this behaving as-designed or an error?

That only happens if you have the Daylight savings time enabled. (Set to GMT -5 but shows GMT -4)

So, I'm guessing you have DST enabled?

NOTE: DST Starts on March 14th this year.

Yes, I have DST enabled. If I disable it, it is even worst, it now shows this:

All times are GMT. The time now is 05:36 AM.

(when it is now 12:36am instead)

        Hmm...

        Checked this again:

        1) Logged into AdminCP [My personal timezone is Tokyo, server is in Washington DC]
        2) Set it to GMT -5 / DST Off/Disabled
        3) Save
        4) Logout from AdminCP
        5) Reload homepage as guest/not logged in.... shows GMT -5 12:43 AM
        6) Log back into Forums, time reverts to GMT +9

Don't know what to say if your forum isn't saving the correct settings.

Very odd indeed! Well, glad it worked out.

well i have put a time zone in the admin cp, but found my own profile time zone set to another zone... dont all users profiles should be made on the same Admin time zone !!! it would be much easier to new users....

It does this already. The user will have the default time zone of the forum when they register UNLESS they change it during registration or later in the user control panel.

When a user signs up they select their time zone, the default selected for them will be the board default. Users can change their time zone at any time.

My users are not all in the same time zone, so it would not make sense to force them all into one time zone.
