    Posting problems

    Hello everyone!

We have faced a problem with leaving correct messages on forum based on your platform (vBulletin® v3.8.2, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.)
The problem is that if we use the following symbols in your message, the message text is not displayed after this symbol.
    The symbols are:
    « » (Cyrillic alphabetquotation marks)

    (apostrophe)

    ñ (Spanish alphabet letter)

For example, if you print out test ñote it will be displayed as test [B]
These are only the detected ones, maybe there are some other not supported symbols.
Could you please recommend any ways of solving this case – maybe some kind of platform update.
We will appreciate your prompt reply, thank you in advance!

I have tried to enter the above symbols in a post on a vBulletin 4 installation and they appeared normally.

The best solution will be to create a test copy of your vBulletin web site, upgrade it to the latest stable version (4.0.2 Patch Level 1) and test the corresponding functionality once again.

I don't see any problem with the copyright on your site so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

If you think you have a server configuration problem, you may want to post in the Server Configuration forum for suggestions.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

          Hello!

Thanks for your reply. Actually our vBulletin license is expired and (for now) we don't plan moving to vBulletin 4.x. Hope the problem can be resolved on our current vBulletin version.
