I am not doing so good blocking the first part of an ip.
Because my forum is for a local community in the bay area I really don't need anyone outside the country joining. Normally I would let them but I am taking advantage of blocking spammers.
I have a list of all U.S. ip and I want to just block all except those. I have tried htaccess in the user block ip and not having any luck. Those ips are still rolling in simultaneously as I’m blocking them.
This is what I wrote in the user block ip:
77.*
78.*
79.*
80.*
81.*
82.*
83.*
84.*
85.*
Shouldn't that list in the user block ip area in the admin panel prevent anyone from those ips from entering my site?
Could someone send me an htaccess in this form blocking all non U.S. ips in a text file? I can send a gift via Paypal. my htaccess obviously is flawed.
