Sent Email Problem - Update Email

Hello,

I have a problem with send email to users. many times users didn't receive emails from admin to confirm their account after i checked and i get mail server doesn't works.

I updated admin Webmaster's Email to "[email protected]" so i want all emails sent from [email protected].
VBulletin Option -> Site Name / URL/ Contact Details -> Webmaster's Email

I tried to register but still could't not receive an email from admin.

Is there something else i need to update? like email options, smpt, etc?

Your help would be appreciated.

This is most likely because your server is not allowed to send emails on behalf of the @gmail.com domain.
In order to use a gmail address as your webmaster email, you must set your SMTP settings to match that of gmail, typically:
Server: smtp.gmail.com
Username: [email protected]
Password: YourGmailPassword
Secure connection: SSL
Port: 465

Also, this will work ONLY if your server is configured to allow PHP to work sockets. If your server does not allow your PHP to work with sockets, you CANNOT use any email address other than what your server allows you to send from. Contact your hosting provider if you need to know what email address you can send mails from.
