For example I have a one-page thread with ten(10) posts. In post #1, I want to create a link where if I click it, it will jump to post #5. What's the link URL should I put? I don't want a page refresh, it should directly jump to the specific post.

Code:<div id="top> very long content here </div> <div id="footer"> <a href="#top">Link To Top</a> </div>
A live example is at: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/ - you can see at the very bottom there's a link "Back to top" which will take you to the top page.
Now, in my case, there are 10 posts in a one-page thread. In post #1, I want to create a link which will jump to post #5 - no page refresh, must not open in new window or tab.
Here's another explanation: http://www.yourhtmlsource.com/text/internallinks.htmlLast edited by GetWebHost; Wed 11 Nov '09, 2:54pm.Comment

edit: Then again, after re-reading your post, maybe you want this:
Right click the post number that you want to jump to, and choose 'Copy Link Location' if you're using Firefox ('Copy shortcut' in IE8). You will then have the URL for that specific post, which you can put in another post, and it will jump right to it. This will happen to and from any location on the forums.Last edited by cbiweb; Wed 11 Nov '09, 6:12am.~ Life isn't always fair, but you can be. ~Comment
