and keep absolutely nothing but posts, what forums are broken into, and my members? I have soooo much clutter. I just want to reinstall and keep only members, their posts, and where they are posted. Please tell me if there is a relatively simple way.
How do I reinstall

You can't reinstall without losing everything and starting all over.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Well, I think you can use IMPEX as a means of moving data. This is kind of how I see you do it.
(You can download IMPEX from the member's area)
1) Install Vbulletin in a development area of your server (password locked with .htaccess).
2) Install Impex in the new Vbulletin installation and run whichever modules you like (you can choose what to import from the Impex system like users, posts, etc). Carefully follow the instructions in the Vbulletin manual. You need to import in order, and some things must be imported along with others (example, you NEED to import threads if you want posts).
3) When you have succesfully imported, edit your configuration file in your old install to point to the database of your new install. Make sure everything works of course .
Note: Uninstall any mods you have before doing this.
That would be the best solution I could think of; if any staff think this will cause some form of explosion please feel absolutely free to correct me .Comment

The problem is, where will the post goes? I don't think he wants to lose post. So, that will be pointless and not to mention, all users will have to do a password recovery.
That method is only if your forum got hacked and/or transferring to a new host.Shun Goku SatsuComment

Uh, no. Why would you assume that?
Mr_Bob's idea could work but it is not a supported function for Impex. In addition doing it that way will change all your existing user, post, thread and forum ID numbers. So all posted links will no longer work, as well as search engine results from prior to this import.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
