When you have 2 languages installed, and use a phrase with no translations (so it's only in the 'phrase'-box), shouldn't it shop up in all languages?

Question about languages

- Ive added a custom phrase
- I didn't enter anything in the English or Dutch box, only used the Phrase text box (the first one)
- My text is only showing up when using English, but not Dutch.Comment

To edit a phrase you need to place the new phrase in the available language text boxes.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Hi Steve, what do you mean with 'edit'? It's a newly made, custom phrase.
Maybe I made some mistake, I'll re-add it .Comment

Same difference. You need to place the new phrase in the available language text boxes.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Why? I want to make one single text, for all languages. Then I have to enter it into 3 boxes, and edit it 3 times every time. Can't I just leave both boxes empty?Comment

Sorry I have no idea what you have done and what you are trying to do. Please explain. Also what is the exact problem? It's not clear to me.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

I add a phrase.
I enter my text in the text box.
It only shows up when selecting English, but not Dutch.
I thought, when you keep the English and Dutch box empty (which are optional, it says), it just should work for all languages)Last edited by Eagle Creek; Wed 23 Sep '09, 9:16am.Comment

I've removed the phrase, re-added it and now it works. I must have done something wrong, although I don't know why.
Sorry for bothering you. Thanks again for your support Steve.Comment
