Quick question: Can Users Awaiting Moderation be done automatically?

Couldn't find any info in the manual for this, but users awaiting moderation seem to require a manual "GO" input by admin on an individual basis. So if admins aren't around the users just sit and wait in the queue, is that how it works?

Yes, that is how it works. The whole purpose of moderation is to allow the admin to manually approve / deny new registrations.

You can disable moderation:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Moderate New Members
