Exact Post?

My board recently reached 200,000 posts.

How in the world do you determine who, exactly, made the 200,000th post?

I thought you could do a link like:
http://hardydetectiveagency.com/foru...t.php?p=200000 but that's wrong because that post was all the way back in August 5th... and the post that matches the number of posts on the board (200,170) also says it was made back in August.

Is there a tool that tells you which post is 200,000?

That is the right way to do it... but since you deleted threads/posts, your 200k wont match post 200k in the db.

Second suggestion then...

Close your forum for a few min.
Look at the # of posts on your forum home
Look at the last post made on the site
Subtract the two.
Add that number to 200k
Use that number in your showpost?p= link.

ie:

1,788,050 my post on vb.com
1,743,890 total on vb.com
44,160 difference

200k + 441160 = 244,160



Of course that doesn't take into consideration the fact that your post counts on the site might be wrong. lol. Then you may have to a query in sql.
