Disable ages/birthdays?

I'm sure this can be done by modifying templates and such, but is there a simple way to disable the ability to even enter birthdays/ages in the profile? Or, is all editing of what information is possible to be entered on the profile page done through the style templates?

You can make it so birthdays are not required:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Profile Options -> Require Date of Birth

But removing it completely requires editing the templates. See this thread:
