Hi Folks,
Brand new at this, may be missing something or may be a mod. On my yahoogroups forums the request for entry is accompanied by a mandatory explanation. This can allow instant determination if the person is eligible, or on vBulletin it would help determine what groups to start them in.
I have not seen exactly this on registration on standard vBulletin. By "Moderate New Members" and sending out an email (or having a message ?) explaining the requirements and setting up a promotion group system this could be accomplished in a more involved manner. Is there an easy way to have the person simply write a sentence with the online registration request ? Not involving emails and messages and verification. A mod would be fine.
Lacking that, is there an easy way to force a first post in either a special or private section ? Or is that only accomplished by a default method using groups and promotions, and you explain it in a welcome message or emal ?
Thanks.
Shalom,
Steven Avery
