I know about the option to require email address verification after registration, but is there a way to require a prospective new member to verify his email address prior to registration?
Maybe it's best to explain what I'm looking to do so that VB experts can let me know how best to accomplish my objective.
I would like prospective new members to submit their names and email addresses via some input field, whereupon they'll receive an automatically generated email explaining the registration process and what information is required of them. A link in the email will redirect them to the proper registration form in vBulletin where they'll fill in their registration information in the "/forums/register.php?do=register" page.
This means that I will need to disable the registration page for outsiders whose email addresses haven't been verified. And allow access to the registration page only to those with verified email addresses.
Is this possible?
