    Vbulletin Max Forum Capacity?

Can you have too many forums? What's the most anyones ever seen or heard of? Our site plans to have close to 20,000 forums. Will this slow down or hinder the software?
    Thanks!

With that many forums the size of the datastore cache would become very large and slow down the forum. You may be able to get away with it if you use one of the alternative datastore storage options in the includes/config.php file.

You'll need to increase the ammount of memory available for php to use.

Realistically you will have a problem getting over 1000 forums before you start running into problems. 20,000 forums is not feasible with the current PHP/MySQL architecture.

Wow...this certainly isn't very encouraging. Thank you everyone for your help anyway.
