Amount of registered users help & questions.

After moving from phpbb to vbulletin, it's been almost a month now and I've been trying to delete users using the prune user options.

I find users who hasn't been logged in for 100 days and I have around 4,000 of them. My total members are like 1,700, so 1,700 is active and 4,000 isn't. The only issue is I can't delete the unactive users, it says invalid action, like there isn't any of the users.

Is there a way I could also change the number of registered users so it doesn't look like my forum is uneven.

    Thanks.

Sounds like you have broken user profiles. Go into the Maintenance -> Update Counters and select "Fix Broken User Profiles". Than try to delete the users you want to.

Is there a reason to prune inactive users?
Maybe they view the forum as a guest and just haven't needed to post?

I have many users who don't post for 6 months until they have a question or can help someone else. Some even longer.

When you say 'active' I only have 325-350 active members who visit as logged in once every 10 days.

Edit: Do you know your site is down?

I don't say beg them to come back. I just find no harm in leaving them.

Sorry fro dragging up an old thread.

I struggled with this. In the end I found you need to do less than 1000 at a time (using version 3.8.7).

                Hope this helps someone.
