    That means you have not followed those steps or you have a modification that is blocking this. What is the URL to your forums?

      Adsense ads not showing

      Hi:

      I have the same problem. Put in the adsense version up Friday and it is now Sunday afternoon but nothing.

      Here are the urls: http://www.birdsofcentralpark.com/forum and

      I know adsense is working because it is serving up ads to my Joomla pages just fine.

      Thanks.

        You have an add-on that is causing this error:

        Database error in vBulletin 3.8.3:

        Invalid SQL:

        SELECT id,views
        FROM vb_lgv AS lgv
        WHERE lgv.ipaddress = '68.231.168.210';

        MySQL Error : Table 'photos.vb_lgv' doesn't exist
        Error Number : 1146
        Request Date : Sunday, August 2nd 2009 @ 03:26:30 PM
        Error Date : Sunday, August 2nd 2009 @ 03:26:30 PM
        Script : http://www.birdsofcentralpark.com/fo...ead.php?t=2500
        Referrer : http://www.birdsofcentralpark.com/fo...splay.php?f=39
        IP Address : 68.231.168.210
        Username : Unregistered
        Classname : vB_Database

        If you have setup Google Adsense correctly (including on the Google end) then this problem has to be from a modification. There are no other possibilities.

        To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

        Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

        [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

        Next, disable all plugins.

        Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

        define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

        Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

        Do you have the same problem?

          Adsense not working

          Steve:

          Thanks but that seems like way too much trouble. Everything else seems to be working ok. I might have plug-in that has problems (possibly the Joomla>vb bridge) but I think I will just insert the adsense code by hand in my template. I have been doing this for two years without a problem.

                    There is more to post #4 than just using the default style.

                        You would have to manually edit the appropriate template where you want this to appear.
