I set up a standard text profile field for an alternate website address. Is there a way to make that profile field turn into a link? Thanks

If its on profile page, then it is not possible (I think).
But if it's on a post/thread, you can make it manually - edit template

<if condition="$userinfo['fieldX']"><a href="$userinfo[fieldX" target="_blank">$userinfo[fieldX]</a></if>

X is the field ID.
