Mailqueue System and Number of Emails to Send Per Batch

I have a 50,000 member forum and want to email members. Should I use the Mail queue? what's the best # of emails per batch? My site is on a dedicated server.

The default batch size is usually fine. If you encounter errors then you can reduce the batch size.

The mail queue option can help to reduce load and improve performance on forums with lots of thread subscriptions. It doesn't really matter for mass mailings since those are just a quick one-time thing.

My default setting is 10 emails per batch. I can't sent out emails to my 50,000 members at 10 per batch, that will take forever.

You can easily change this just by entering a different number. Or you can turn off the mail queue entirely.
