Moderating posts by newly registered users?

How do I moderate the first few posts from newly registered users?

Setup a promotion like this:

Except you would toggle the Follow Forum Moderation Rules permission instead of the avatar permission.

I was thinking it would require something like that. I think I will set up a new group called “Newly registered” and moderate their posts. After they make two posts I will arrange it that they get automatically promoted to the next group which is free to post without moderation.



I thought there might have been an easier way.

You should use the default Registered Users group (usergroupid 2) as the moderated group since that is where all new members are placed.
