Bit of an emergency - PLEASE HELP

Hi there, well i am sad to say, that we downloaded a nulled version of vbulletin. But we where caught, and punished. Anyway, we have now purchased a licesnese. But we are having some problems.

So we were told to re-install vbulletin. So we did, but they said we could use the old databases, so we didnt lose everything. Anyway, we did, that, but not it doesnt seem to work properly, the forum shows up correctly.

But no one can log in. When you go to log in, it says "thanks for logging in"
but then you are re-directed to the index, and you are still not logged in.

    Any help?

We also had quite a few mods installed, i dont know if that affects its,

This is probably a cookie domain/path issue. To fix this, upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Use this to reset the cookie domain and path back to the defaults. And then leave your cookie domain and path at the default settings. There is no reason to change these. If you need to specify a unique cookie, use the cookie prefix setting in config.php instead.
