pop up notification quit working after navbar revert?

I'm looking for some help to figure out a problem with my pop up notification for pm's. It had been working perfectly, but I had to revert my navbar template, and now it no longer works. I tried to make a new style with no parent to see if it worked in the new style and it doesn't work there either. It also use to just say private messages, but now says notifications with a drop down menu? Any ideas how I could fix this or what could be wrong?

That will revert the notification thing to the old style.
