    tmp directory vulnerable?

My tmp directory was vulnerable and hackers or something compromised it and installed scripts that tried to brute force attack other servers from my server.

Now my host changed the root's tmp dir and now my vBulletin is messing up db error after error, can't access PMs and now can't access threads or posts!

Please help what do I do?
Was running lastest version fo 3.8.1 PL series have tried repairing and optimizing tables giving error about tmp files because they don't exist!

    Can't create/write to file '/tmp/STuJsbTM'
    Can't create/write to file '/tmp/STuJ2HoR

Am now trying to upgrade to 3.8.2 but can't turn vB off can't access settings etc without db error!:
    Database error in vBulletin 3.8.1:

    Invalid SQL:

    SELECT setting.*, settinggroup.grouptitle
    FROM settinggroup AS settinggroup
LEFT JOIN setting AS setting USING(grouptitle)
    WHERE settinggroup.displayorder <> 0
    ORDER BY settinggroup.displayorder, setting.displayorder;

    MySQL Error : Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_4197_0.MYI' (Errcode: 13)
    Error Number : 1

vB_Database_Alter: fetch_table_info() has not been called successfully.
    Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_4197_0.MYI' (Errcode: 13)

It isn't... This isn't even a forum issue but a server issue with MySQL trying to write files to the /tmp directory. Has nothing to do with anything in your public_html directory. Error #13 means that MySQL doesn't have the permissions it needs to operate properly. Contact your host and ask them to resolve this issue.

I fixed this on my install by chanceing the PHP Version inside my webhosting cPanel. Holyfreyhosting.com is one of them that have PHP Version Manager where you can Select between 7 difrent php Version thats realy Nice and it make webwork realy easy and plexable. Try to chance php Version if you are able to.
