Super Mods Can't Delete As Spam

I can delete as spam, but me mods and supermods can't?

Looked for permissions, checked documentation and can't find the setting...

    Any help appreciated.

    Check their mod permissions:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators -> [Edit Permissions]

They need banning and deleting permissions to delete as spam.

I want to nominate some "spam sheriffs" from a small group of trusted forum members ..

At present all moderator get a lot of reported posts for spam. Its a real time drain issue to manage - the same small group of members are reporting the spam - so I figure they might as well be given to power to zap spam right away.. Instead of reporting it all the time and clogging up our reported posts forum..

How would I go about doing that?

Create a spam sheriff user group?

I find the "above 25 posts or more" safety feature (having to be done in the admin panel) in the delete as spam comforting.. But would they have to have the power to ban anyone? That would be way too much power...

How can I let a select group of spam sheriffs lose at the spam - but not allow them to ban anyone with more than 25 posts..?

I need to deal with spam but I also need to safeguard the forum by preventing one of these people getting out of the wrong side of bed one day and banning everyone!

        Thanks in advance..
