    Double Click Title Edit Not Always Working?

    I recently upgraded from 3.6.5 to 3.8.1 patch level 1. Prior to the upgrade, when viewing any forum or the search results showing a list of threads, I could do the double click and edit titles. Now, after the upgrade, the only place I can do this is when viewing a list of threads as a result of a search. I cannot do it while just viewing the thread list within a forum. I would really like to be able to do the double click method everywhere. Is there a new setting that I might be missing that affects this?

    After the upgrade procedure, I reverted ALL templates to default. Then I made the few changes I have from scratch to make sure I was using the most up to date templates.

    This works for me. Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

    If you do, empty your browser cache, close all browser windows and try again.

      Howdy Steve,

      I created a new style like you said. The double click works. Since the place where it was not working was in the list of threads when viewing a particular forum, does this mean that something in the FORUMDISPLAY template got whacked and needs to be restored? If so, if I revert the template, that should fix things?

        It could be that or it could also be a change to one of the global templates - headinclude, header or footer.

          Found it. I had done something similar to this mod to move the Display Options up to the top of the thread list like on VBulletin.org. However, I did not realize that I had to remove the id="threadlist" from this part of the template:

          Code:
          <table class="tborder" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" border="0" width="100%" align="center" [B]id="threadslist"[/B]>
          <tbody>
          $announcebits
          Works perfect now.

          Sorry to waste your time
