prevent moderators from seeing private social groups

The default lets all moderators and super-moderators watch private social groups. Whatever I change in the usergroup rights it keeps like that.

Is there a way (maybe by altering templates) in preventing mods and super-mods from watching private socialgroups?
Which templates will I have to alter?

Help would be highly appreciated!

seems like you could do this by adjusting their user preferences individually. don't hold me to it though.

The only configurable options with respect to moderators and social groups are their mod permissions:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators -> [Edit Permissions]

But even if you disable all of their social group mod permissions they will still be able to see private groups. Changing this requires custom code. If you have some coding ability then you can post on www.vbulletin.org for help with this.
